This 1991 Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay was built in San Luis Obispo, California. Its serial is 033589; the serial lookup points to September 19, while factory marks on the neck and body read August 12 and 13. The natural-finish bass pairs an ash body with a birdseye maple neck and fingerboard.
The original Music Man humbucker feeds an active two-band EQ. It weighs about 4.3 kg and has a 43 mm nut; a case was included. Small dings, finish marks, fretboard-edge chips, a worn neck and patina record its use. No structural repairs were seen. Inspection notes record that the neck, truss rod, electronics and string mute all functioned. The instrument went to Riga, Latvia.
