TELL ME WHAT YOU HAVE IN MIND
Model, maker, era, specifications, condition, budget — or just the general idea.
If you have a model, era, maker — or simply a certain kind of bass — in mind, I can help source it from Japan.
When something promising turns up, we take a closer look before anything moves forward.
TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FORI'm particularly interested in Japanese instruments — discontinued models, unusual factory variations, obscure brands and basses that rarely make their way to Europe.
If you know exactly what you're after, send me the details. If you only have a rough idea — a certain sound, era, construction, brand or budget — that's enough to start.
The point isn't to find any listing. It's to find a bass worth bringing home.
Model, maker, era, specifications, condition, budget — or just the general idea.
I search Japanese auction and dealer channels and shortlist the candidates worth a closer look.
We review the photographs, description, condition, uncertainties and likely total cost before moving forward.
If we agree on the instrument, I arrange the sourcing and its journey from Japan.
Japanese auction listings vary enormously in how much information they provide. Photographs, descriptions, serial numbers and visible condition can tell us a lot, but not everything can be verified before an instrument arrives.
If something is uncertain, I'll say so. I'd rather leave a question open than turn it into a certainty.
Send me the model, a reference photo, a link, a budget — or simply describe the bass you've been trying to find.
