The one-liner

Introduced in 2014, the ESP E-II Stream gives this bass a first-year place in the model’s story, backed by an original Japanese warranty card dated 23 May that year. Snow White, pearloid details and black hardware set off a 34-inch bolt-on build with active EMG electronics.

The story

ESP introduced the Stream at the 2014 NAMM Show, and this Snow White E-II is from that first production year. E-II is ESP’s professional-level Made-in-Japan line, positioned above LTD. The original Japanese warranty card that accompanies this bass is dated 23 May 2014, tying the instrument to that early E-II period.

The Stream’s modern outline is built around a traditional 34-inch, four-string format. This example has a bolt-on, three-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, paired with a White Ash body. White pearloid block inlays and pickguard sit against the Snow White finish, while the black hardware keeps the overall look crisp.

Its active electronics use an EMG 35P-4 neck pickup and EMG 35J bridge pickup, with an EMG BTC two-band EQ. The bridge is a Hipshot A Style, the tuners are Gotoh, and Schaller straplocks are fitted. Recorded specifications give the weight as 4.6 kg and the nut as bone, 40 mm wide. The neck and neck pocket carry separate serial numbers: ES1408502 and ES1405319.

The original ESP hard case and owner’s manual are included with the warranty card. The case has cosmetic marks from storage and transport but remains functional. The bass is in excellent overall condition, with only very minor signs of use and a small finish chip at the edge of the neck pocket; the photographs show its exact condition.

Inspection & research notes

Inspection notes record that the frets, fingerboard, hardware, controls and electronics all present very well. The original hard case remains functional despite cosmetic marks from storage and transport. Minor setup adjustments may be needed after shipping and climate adaptation.
